INS strikes again. ARRRGGGHHH

Do you get the idea I'm a little bit frustrated? You bet.
Went for fingerprinting on Nov 9th. Heard nothing. So I email Cara and ask her how long it ususally takes to process the "approval". She talked to Inna and Inna said that if we had not heard anything from them by the end of the month (December) to let her know and she would call. Well Abbie and I drove over to St Louis on Dec. 28th to celebrate our part of Christmas. I had Todd check our mail, and there was still no INS envelope. So I emailed Cara and she said Inna would call them. On December 30th Todd called me on my cell phone and said he had talked to Inna. Our INS approval was "on hold" because in the homestudy it stated "to adopt from Russia or Kazakhstan" and it can only state Kazakhstan. Oooookkkkk. We went by Abbie's homestudy from 5 years ago and that is what it stated in hers. Sigh. So we have to do an addendum and have it signed and notarized and then hand carry it to the INS office. Oh joy.
Nothing can be done right then.
Then find out our Social Worker who did our homestudy (and has to do and sign the addendum) is on vacation. She returned to work on January 5th. I was able to pick up the addendum, notarize it and take it to the INS office on Thursday the 6th. Thankfully Todd was off and was able to stay with Abbie while I ran all over the place to get this done. And now we wait.....
